As you probably know by now I love the realm of fantasy.  This slate took a lot of time to hand cut.  I was worried about the wings when I started it but in the end it all came out ok.

This is actually my mop dog laying in the field across from my home.  It was a hot summer day and he found shade under the branches of the old apple tree, that now is gone due to a horrible wind storm.

I do a lot of these, cut and uncut.  My area is filled with old barns like this and it is not hard to find one to go by when painting it.  Although many are from potos of real barns in my area this one is out of my own head. I put the tiny opposum in the left hand corner and the butterfly in the right to even out the balance of the slate.

After going to dragon Con and meeting her in person I came home and painted this slate. She is one of the nicest people I have ever met as far as someone in the film industry goes.
